I am an assistant quality engineer, this involves compiling of documents for the project, checking of delivery tickets against the products received, checking the material certification is what the project require. I help the quality manager with tasks when needed.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed the program, i have learnt a lot and the relationship between the tutor and our class has been very good and always open and honest.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

During my apprenticeship I have learnt lots of new skill, from using quality tools such as SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely.) targets. Fish bone diagrams for root cause analysis.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well, we always know when our sessions are with plenty of notice.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer have been very good, giving me the time needed to do coursework and off the job hours. They always check in to see if I need more time or any additional support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have had the support I have needed and I know they are there if I am stuck or unsure.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has exposed me to a lot more information and tools in the quality world. I feel I have developed a lot in my role since the undertaking of this course.

There are often team bonding evenings like going out for dinner. They also do volunteering days to give back to the community.

Development and progression seems to be at the heart of the company. They offer as much training and development as the individual wants to under take.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAM?
Be yourself and be willing to learn and train, BAM will support you in that aspect and give you the opportunity to do this.
