As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor at BAM, I assist with cost management, forecasting, and document control under an NEC4 ECC Option A contract. My role involves processing payments, tracking variations, managing contract documents, and engaging with subcontractors, ensuring financial control while gaining hands-on experience in commercial management and project delivery.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my apprenticeship as it provides hands-on experience, structured learning, and career development in quantity surveying. The mix of office work, site visits, and commercial management keeps it engaging. Support from mentors and real project responsibilities make it rewarding, helping me develop essential skills for a future QS career.
