As a Civil Engineering Apprentice, I’ve gained hands-on experience through various tasks. I’ve monitored progress, ensuring work complies with plans and regulations. I’ve assisted with surveying, taking measurements, and using design software like AutoCAD for drafting and updating project plans. I’ve been involved in materials testing, ensuring quality control on concrete and soil samples. I’ve supported project coordination by tracking progress, managing documentation, and assisting with safety compliance on-site. Additionally, I’ve participated in team meetings, contributing to discussions with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It offers a great balance of hands-on experience and learning, allowing me to apply theory in real-world situations. The variety of tasks keeps things interesting, and I appreciate the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers.
