3.8/5 - Structure and Support

Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I answer client enquiries, and conduct my own research into provenance and history for both internal employees and external clients.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The apprenticeship itself has left much to be desired, but the job is beyond fun.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Time management and patience - some enquiries cannot be answered in a day, and so you need to exercise all the patience you have.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Our programme is pre-planned, so we know what events are happening weeks beforehand.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive ample amounts of support from my employer/manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
They are always available to work through any problems you may have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It's vastly unrelated, but it helps with knowledge of the business itself, and understanding more about how Christie's functions within the wider business world.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Many, many events and "societies" that you can get involved in, which cost very little and are usually after work.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Christie's to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is a good starting point for any apprentice - they ease you in to the work, and you actually feel valued for the contributions that you may make within your role.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Christie's?
Really look into the departments they have (which you can see on the website) - you're most likely going to be working with ALL of them at some point, regardless of which department you go into.
