Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a Marketing Apprentice, I report to the Marketing Strategy team. I help support the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing campaigns and activities. This role includes communication between various departments and external partners to ensure marketing projects are completed on time. I help raise purchase orders and help keep track of budgets.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have thoroughly enjoyed my programme both through my work with the apprentice provider and my job role here at Christies. Through both I am very well supported and encouraged to gain and develop my skills to help better myself. Its a very social fast pace environment allowing you to learn and work on new experiences everyday

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have definitely been able to development existing skills, like communication skills, attention to detail etc., as this is my second apprenticeship I've done with Christie's, but also been able to develop so many new skills. I had to widen my skills in multiple new systems I hadn't used before as well as gaining new skills. I gained wider knowledge in areas like SEM, SEO, content creation, creative and data briefs and many more areas.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The organisation is very well structured, when I first joined during my first apprenticeship we had a week long induction which helped many of us connect with the organisation and learn more about it. We have had many events and sessions orgranised for us to help us learn and connect. Setting time out for my apprenticeship coursework is great as well as we dedicate 20% of our working hour to our course which gives us plenty of time to meet our apprenticeship deadlines and to work on OTJ. We also have a buddy scheme here at Christies allowing apprentices to be assigned buddies who will help them with questions they may have.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a massive amount of support from my employer and team. As we have a large amount of apprentices the whole company has a very good understanding of our need and how we work. I receive great support from my immediate team but also have received great support from other department who have let me shadow them.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Im given lots of support from my coach, he is great at answering all my questions I have and is fast had replying to any emails I send him. I receive great feedback and advice regarding my work. The provider has so many other contacts for me to go to as well if needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
During the first few months in my role and my apprenticeship I attended work shops. This massively helped with my knowledge when it came to marketing as there were so many new key terms and areas that I had very minimal knowledge on and this made me feel much more confident in marketing as a whole.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are tones of extra curriculars you can get involved in, I couldnt list them all. We have so many sport related activities, like our running club, a football event, an annual sailing event which all helps our chosen charity for the year. We have plenty of forums to be involved in like our stork club, Green team and Augusta group. We have plenty of social events to get involved in like our 501 drinks to help you network

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Christie's to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend as its a great start to kick of your career and a great alternative to university. At Christies not only will you gain knowledge in your apprenticeship but also receive a qualification out of it but also gain office skills and experience. Youll also meet great people and connections.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Christie's?
My tip would be to research the company and specifically the role your applying to so you can come with as much knowledge as you can. Show your willing to learn and to develop with a positive approach !
