To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

As someone who is passionate about the environment and the health of people, I have loved engaging with a variety of different groups and solving issues with a shared goal in mind.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learned key project management skills, stakeholder engagement and communicating change. I also have built a knowledge of the legislation and best practices that help drive these decisions.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme I am on is all done virtually with monthly group sessions and ways to connect with others in the industry also doing this apprenticeship. I can link the content I am learning with the work I do on a day to day basis
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My manager has been an excellent mentor and support system for me. Beyond that, the wider apprenticeship and early talent ERG's are a great way to connect with others in early careers, no matter what area of the business they are in.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Monthly check ins are very useful, giving the opportunity to connect with others in the same CR&S space. The skills coaches are available to check in and answer any query when something comes up and give constructive feedback on all assignments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

There have been times when there have felt like there were challenges to get certain KSB's but these were addressed and examples provided with what I have done and how it links into these core skills needed to complete the apprenticeship.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am involved in various Employee Resource Groups (AZPride and SafeSPace). There are also apprentice/early talent specific group where early talent can build a strong connected network. There are social events also run outside of working hours.

The organisation aligns with my own morals and values - creating a space for a healthier happier planet and makes me feel proud to come into work to help make those tangible steps of difference.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
Do not undersell yourself! Any evidence of self drive, motivation and passion will get you really far in the recruitment process. Do the reading around what the company are doing to again show that drive and initiative that is a key value to portray.
