Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Coaching from seniors, completing audit documentation, uploading requests for evidence from client, discussing areas with client, updating project plan etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It's been great to be taking on real audit work and staying busy. I've met so many people whether it be within the team or on client side and I think the experience has helped me gain a rich understanding of how the company operates.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Excel shortcuts, navigating the system the company uses, different forms of communication, developed attention to detail etc

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Very well structured, detailed understanding of when busy season is and why it makes sense for younger students to not enter at this time. Accommodation provided for the majority of the placement for those that need it.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Significant support- regular check-ins throughout placement to ensure we are doing ok
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Reasonable amount of support- some specific revision materials given for accredited exams, some financial support in university for those that need it
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Helps us understand some of the work-specific jargon while working, training gave a good introduction into the type of work we would be performing. At initial stages, don't understand some of the more technical parts of the job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Many cultural events- days where people bring in food from their culture, days where cake is brought in to celebrate all birthdays in the month, engagement teams sometimes do their own quizzes and cultural events during the project

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I feel the company has a good set of values that it focuses on upholding, and it can provide a lot of valuable and rich experience into the world of audit which can even benefit potential future jobs.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
