Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am a Change and Innovation Manager, looking into continuous improvement ideas for our engineering department with the aim of becoming more efficient, reducing the government subsidy that SE receives from Government and building a sustainable railway for the future.
Most of this is done through people engagement and working on changing the culture within SE Engineering.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I am enjoying the programme so far. I think i would prefer face to face workshop sessions than the ones hosted online.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
During this apprenticeship I have developed some self reflection skills, which sometimes help me to plan better and worry less about workstreams.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Well organised so far - still some way to go.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive excellent support from my line manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I have regular check in sessions with my learning coach.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Currently i wouldnt say the training has helped me perform any better, but i am about 1/3 of the way into the course.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are some, but it depends on where you work - my role is a bit of a wanderer across locations, so no fixed work/social group.
