Overall Rating
4.5 /5
The Overall Rating is the average of all the ratings given in each category. We take those individual ratings and combine them into one final score!
Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I also assist with various other tasks which are on a case-by-case basis, meaning each person on the same placement is working on wildly different projects. For Example I am working on ticket support, power automation development and 0365 Awareness.
I have also hosted webinars to several hundred different people, as well as presented projects (and their progresses) to individuals who are several stages above myself (including the head of UK IT).
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Everything we do (aside from a couple initial case study trainings) impacts the business in some way - such as automating a complicated process or developing a new Template which has become standard across the company globally
Please rate how meaningful the work you were doing was
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
- Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Python
- SQL
- DAX
- Excel VBA
- Excel Formulas
- Time Management
- Presenting
- Communication
- Teamworking
- Agile Development
There are also other things which I developed which are more personal such as my confidence and belief in my work and knowledge of what I am able to do but also what things I would need assistance with. These things I definitely didn't realise I needed to develop, and I am so glad I did

How would you rate the support and guidance from the wider team?
Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
This even goes beyond IT, for example if you contact someone out of the blue about something chances are they are going to either give advice or often even hop onto a call to further discuss the issue you might be having.
Everyone in IT is very nice and chill and understanding if you are having a problem with something.

Recommendations & Advice
Would you recommend PepsiCo to a friend?
What advice would you give to others applying to PepsiCo
PepsiCo isn't worried about you not having the skills right at the start. We are more interested in your willingness to learn and potential to develop your skills.
For interviews, if you are worried about clothing attire, keep in mind that whilst we definitely prefer smart casual in general, it is better to be overdressed than underdressed, and adjust accordingly afterwards.
Also when doing interviews and such - make sure that you REMOVE competing products from visibility. It shows a lack of attention to detail and people have been rejected because of that as we do notice.
