Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role remained varied throughout placement, while 1-1 manager meetings remained a weekly constant. In day-to-day tasks I created education resources, summarised research in infographics, met with product development teams and analysed the nutritional content of products.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given lots of responsibility during my placement and the chance to use my initiative to make an impact for the business.

I gained confidence over my placement, developed communication and time management skills in an office environment. Additionally, I learnt a lot about scientific writing, translation and critical thinking.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Support and guidance were always available from the wider PepsiCo team, everyone had a great attitude to work together. Secondly, my immediate team and manager were very supportive and I had a designated buddy for support and a mentor for career guidance.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture was very community centric, with lots of office events and opportunities to connect. A strong work ethic and recognition of achievements.
