Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to day basis I work closely alongside multiple teams attending important recurring meetings and completing various projects both at a desk and practically, this is a change from phase 1 which was almost completely classroom based and had very little practical aspects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed this programme far more in phase 2 than I did in the mostly classroom bound phase 1, mostly because I feel genuine accomplishment in seeing the results of my work instead of working for a license that the apprenticeship does not actually supply but rather only helps progress to.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have built my confidence with using the office suite of tools and creating automated databases. I have also had the opportunity to produce reports and chair meetings.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is fairly well structured, but a lack of concise and coherent communication does let it down a little as unexpected expectations were not properly communicated when transitioning from phase 1 to phase 2 which also involved moving to a new area of the country.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have been well supported by my employer with the offer of accommodation through phase 1 and the provision of a housing allowance through phase 2.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have received regular support from assessors and instructors throughout my apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe that the skills I have learned when undertaking my qualification have been majorly beneficial in aiding my future role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have been provided the opportunity to attend numerous professional networking events and to attend team-building workshops such as outward bounds.

BAE Systems has provided me the opportunity to work as part of numerous teams and find where I would fit best within the team, they have supported me throughout my apprenticeship and accommodated when I had issues without pushback.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Begin networking within the company as soon as you can. The more people that you know the more opportunities you will be afforded.
