I did 4 placements in the 3 years of the apprenticeship in different HR areas.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It was great, I really enjoyed it. My experience was a bit tainted because of the Pandemic, but more opportunities to connect with people socially would have helped me feel a higher sense of belonging and made my time outside of work more enjoyable.

I learnt and developed loads of skills during my apprenticeship these include:
Career planning & development, people management skills, coaching, talent planning, understanding and knowledge of Key HR processes from investigations and disciplinaries to strategic things like succession planning for business critical roles, facilitation, public speaking, communication

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My program was very well organised with placements in all the core areas of HR helping me to learn the different areas of HR and get a great fully rounded experience of the HR function. I had great managers all the way through to who were always looking for new things to support my development
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Level of support was great, always got more than enough help with whatever i needed. My managers were great at letting me flex my time around my busier study periods too
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My managers were great at helping when i needed it, they helped me to identify projects that i could work on that would fit with what i was studying at the time, and put me in contact with the relevant people where necessary
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It will help a bit, but to be honest the university course covered alot of the same topics that i had already covered at A level and didnt go into that much more detail, some elements were more useful than others
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Some opportunities to get involved in things, I played football after work with colleagues. And we have inclusion groups such as the Early careers network which aims to bring together all Early career colleagues and organise learning, networking and social events

Why?
Mondelez has a great company culture the people make it enjoyable to come to work, everyone is friendly supportive and just feels like a lovely place to work. They offer great hybrid working arrangements too
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mondelez?
Show your curiosity - ask questions to the interviewers, do a bit of research about the company before hand so that you are informed on what they are doing on a global and local scale.
