Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am currently in my second year and work in an external facing team on the Convenience Biscuits Category. This involves looking into market trends and data to understand performance of retailers within this and provide recommendations to improve their strategy.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I have been able to have a high level of responsibility and get involved with group projects as well as work and lead individual projects. The scheme offers rotations that allow you to interact with internal and external stakeholders which makes the experience more diverse and enjoyable.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have been able to develop my teamwork, communication and resilience through a range of challenges and projects.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
You will complete three rotations for 12 months each and the company is very flexible around study leave and prioritising the degree when needed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
A range of support is available such as flexible working hours, hybrid working, study leave, mental health and psychological safety training and diversity & inclusion groups.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The company is very flexible and happy to support if you need additional time to focus on the degree. One study day is given per module additional to the required weekly study day.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Multiple of the university modules require you to use work-based problems in the assignments. They develop problem-solving and analytical skills that benefit my day job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
The company has a wide range of diversity & inclusion groups to get involved with that allows you to meet different people across the business and advocate a topic you are passionate about. Throughout the year there are also team socials.
