Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
On a day to day basis I would be contacting third parties for information and data for a company, I would also communicate with internal teams to obtain this information and I would work with my team to verify the information provided to us and identify any errors which need to be corrected.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I have enjoyed the programme very much as it has given me the opportunity to not only learn the technical standards and knowledge needed for the job, but I have been able to apply this knowledge on my work placements and experience both university life and office life at the same time.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt many new skills during my time with PwC both technical accounting and audit skills such as developing my knowledge of standards and the processes used during work. I have also improved my professional skills such as communication and teamwork which are both very important in the office

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme was organised quite well but could be improved. The programme is well structured by having built in placements at set times which have already been arranged meaning no work needed to be done to organise these placements but the course could be organised better so it is not as time constrained as it is.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
During placement I have received a lot of support from my employer from a number of networks, we have received support from our lecturers at university, our academic advisor at university. Within the workplace, we have received support from our career coaches, buddies, flying start champions and other staff around the office.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
We have received a lot of support from our training provider, they have been involved throughout the entire process during university and at the workplace, they have ensured we have got the correct learning materials and made sure we have sat the exams and training required to obtain our audit qualification
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I believe the qualification is essential to performing well during work, the qualification provides the basic knowledge needed to complete the work with extra knowledge obtained when working. The qualification has also provided us with the professional skills such as communication and team work which are essential in the job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are a number of extra-cirricular activities to get involved in at work and are a great way to expand your network. There are many sports teams you can participate in, many societies you can become involved in and lots of professional networking events available to meet different people from across the firm.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend PwC to a friend as I believe it is a very good workplace to work for. They offer lots of support networks so you always know you can reach out if you are struggling and there are many opportunities you can get involved in to expand your network.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
I would recommend that prospective applicants should ensure they are dedicated to joining the firm and obtaining the professional qualification as this involves a lot of hard work, I would also ensure the applicant knows about the workplace and feels like it would be a suitable fit for them to enjoy their time at PwC
