Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have developed strong communication and collaboration skills through working on team projects. I have learnt about project management, spatial planning and improved my GIS and Power BI reporting skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The structure of my placements are amazing, we rotate to different directorates every 6 months and go to college for blocks at at time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot, the placement managers are always so helpful and really knowledgeable. I also have a line manager who looks out for my well being and supports me throughout my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They give me some time during working hours to complete assignments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training provides me with a wider understanding of transport planning, it gives me a the context and explains why I might be doing some tasks.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, always events and online training . There's football league, netball team.

The people are so friendly, culture is warm and kind. The work is also really interesting and there's always support.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Transport for London?
Research and do some work experience to get some examples to talk about. Volunteering is always a good start.
