Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

When in uni time, normal student activities such as lectures and tutorials. In placement time, a range of work from data analytics and visualisations, meetings with clients and more technical work e.g application development and programming.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Really enjoy it as I get the full uni experience while getting a salary and real on the job experience which is invaluable. All the benefits included are also amazing such as tuition fees covered and medical benefits.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, insight into the business as a whole, learned data analytics e.g alteryx and power BI, python and using data models to increase efficiency of tables

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Clear from the offset how it’s structured, we are able to organise and give feedback at any time and points of contact are clear if needed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of support from people within the firm as they genuinely want to see you develop. Flexibility with placement too e.g hybrid working.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Regular support hours and points of contact, maybe less so than from the employer side but there if you need
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The practical modules are able to be applied more than the theoretical ones but that’s due to the nature of the modules.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there’s lots of socials on the calendar, sports teams, opportunities to attend networking events internally or with other firms and options to take on roles such as committee roles.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Research the business and what they do across their different lines of service. Also be aware of new and emerging technologies.
