Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I get to experience University life for my entire first year, then I spend the summer (July/August) working in the office.
So far, other than a handful of office events, I have not done any "work" yet, as I have been studying for me degree.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I think it is a brilliant programme, encouraging us to socialise with apprentices in years above, and to get involved with events ran by the University

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, my social skills have improved and I feel much more confident networking and asking for things I am interested in getting involved in.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The degree apprenticeship is very well organised. I think the degree from UoB could be better organised, but with PwC I feel in very safe, organised hands.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
With tripartite meetings, I feel like there is always an opportunity to feedback how I am getting on, and seek advice for support. My personal tutor has been helpful, as well as welfare, for when I have needed support
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
UoB provides a lot of extra support with extra sessions and TAs, office hours, though there could be more support given on a personal level
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I think it has given me diligence and structure, and some skills (such as object-oriented programming) will be utilised in placement.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes, there is an ambassador programme where I have had the chance to help at open days, as well as office outreach events to girls in disadvantages backgrounds.
I have been part of a committee for organising extra-curricular activities for Degree Apprentices across the year groups.
I am aware that PwC also offers volunteering opportunities, as well as a pantomime.
