Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My current placement is within the Organisational Change Team as an assistant project manager. My main day to day activities involve scheduling meetings, taking minutes, chasing up actions, governance work and updating the project's schedule and risk log.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It's a great apprenticeship with plenty of opportunities for development in interesting HR teams. There's no shortage of people invested in your development. The company culture is friendly and relaxed!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Skills I have developed:
. Organisational skills.
. Risk awareness and management.
. Stakeholder engagement.
. Cross project dependency awareness.
. Practiced using project management tools, e.g. PoL, RACIs.
. Due to working closely with design team members, I also gained some design experience.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Plenty of support is available via your sponsor, buddy, placement manager or even other team members/apprentices. There's always someone available to help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Occasionally receive useful handouts and presentations. Guidance is not always clear.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Occasionally tools from the CIPD can be implemented in your work. The theory helps expand on your practical knowledge gained from your placement.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Plenty to get involved in. Graduate/Apprentice networking/site visit events. Speed mentoring/mentee sessions. Loads of social events are held too.
