Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Typically varies between each placement. Typical tasks can be business process mapping, requirements gathering, Creating documents to communicate information across in different software such as excel and confluence pages. Daily interactions are usually across a numerous set of teams so you get chance to interact with a wide range of people with difference experiences.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Apprenticeship programme is very enjoyable getting to meet a wide range of people with different experience levels, people are very approachable and willing to help. Work itself is challenging and the University course is a good supplement to what you do in the workplace

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Skills learnt would be communication skills have improved a lot more which has just come from meeting different people and having to speak to different people across different teams. In terms of technically a good skill developed would be being able to effectively research information which can make a difference to the efficiency of your work. In addition I would also say presentation skills and how you present your data in documents like excel and confluence trying to make your information presentable and readable to a wide audience

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Apprenticeship is very well structured with a set structure of when we move around placements, time during the week in which we study for the degree.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Support received from employer is very good from getting skills coaches to help with University and everyday work life to just general support and channel of support from all areas of the business.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Good support received from training provider the schedule is well structured and consistent every week. Lecture materials are always available to go back to and refer to whenever they are needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The qualification helps substantially towards the role especially the programming and data element of the course as it helps with analysing the data in a business analyst capacity. Other modules have been generalised but as its early on in the qualification it is to be expected.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Wide range of extra curricular activities to take part in in including some apprentice networking events, the outwards bounds course and some other activities which are well supported such as going to conference.
