Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working on internal and client teams, focusing on delivery of key PwC services and developing soft skills whilst gaining on the job training. Key responsibilities include operational reporting, pipeline management, developing key service offerings and contributing to PwC's above and beyond initiatives.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoyed my programme due to the ability to network with senior individuals, engage in real client experiences, travel across the country, learn useful skills that can be applied in a number of different careers and life experiences.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed and learnt a wide range of skills during my journey at PwC. These skills include time management, interview and professional communication skills, proficiency with technology, improvement in maths and english, active listening, and applying theories learnt through study, e.g. Porter's 5 forces

How well organised/structured is your programme?

the programme is structured in an organised manner, with every element of study being enveloped alongside my daily responsibilities. This ensured that everything I learnt was relevant to my job role and responsibilities.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I constantly received support from my employers from various areas such as my designated career coach, a talent coach from Kaplan, a relationship lead, and many other points of contact for various areas that could be challenging in the future.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I received support throughout the programme in the form of college days, regular check ups from my talent coach, and a substantial amount of materials used for study and revision purposes before exams.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that my qualification allowed me to perform at a higher level in my role due to the amount of topics within my study that directly correlated to the work that I was completing on a daily basis. I also was able to learn many soft skills such as active listening that I then applied in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many extra-curricular activities that I can get involved in and these opportunities are continuously growing at a rapid pace. I have personally taken part in many activities such as after work football sessions, networking sessions with my apprentice cohort, relationship building activities such as kart racing and much more.

There are many opportunities for everyone to excel and become a professional consultant through this programme and through this company. The culture and opportunities available within this firm are revolutionary and are consistently improved upon to best fit the employees within the firm.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Every individual should research the company beforehand to sufficiently understand the programme and their role within the firm. They should take part in the vast amount of opportunities available to learn more about the firm such as the virtual insight programme to better understand the firm and our values.
