Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My day to day role changes every day and this is what excites me about Consulting. I am often working on data analysis, research, PMO, presentations, deliverables and finding areas that interests me by meeting new people, doing training and being involved in Above and Beyond
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy getting the opportunities to work with experienced individuals to learn from others and get exposure to how my company works and what we deliver to our clients. I think the apprenticeship programme suited the style of work I have been involved in and highlighted the importance of experience

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed my skills using IT equipment including slides, sheets and even applications such as PowerBI and Mural. Not only this, I have learned soft skills such as speaking to stakeholders, managing expectations etc. All needed in any career. I have also learned more niche skills like managing benefits of programmes and how to write delverables

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The apprenticeship programme has not been as organised as I would have liked it to be, I think communication could have been better and this is something that improved later in the programme.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer, including 1-1 mentorship with career coaches, talent coaches from the apprenticeship provider, relationship leads and the environment where I would feel comfortable speaking to senior leadership about any issues I was facing
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I got a lot of support from my talent coach, they were always there to assist if I needed anything clarified and they responded to emails in a timely manner
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel I am able to reflect on the work I have done and how I can improve going forward. I also gained some foundational knowledge to apply to my work and influence my contributions to my projects
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
yes, there are many social activities to be involved with, from communities outside of project teams, sport teams and relation groups that often organise social events. there is an FFY community that has a range of opportunities to get involved and meet new people

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is a great place to start your career as you have an extensive amount of opportunities to learn new skills and experience client work. I have learned from people with experience as well as through training opportunities. PwC has a range of communities and thrives on having an inclusive workplace
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Be yourself, there are many preconceptions about the types of workers at PwC and I think it is important to remain true to who you are because you will have different experiences to others and unique ways of thinking which is how PwC delivers innovative and creative solutions for clients - by having different people with different life experiences offering different solutions
