Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a typical day, I will be coding to gain insights from data. This will usually be on a project I am working on. I will often then use statistics and create visualisations from graphs that help summarise my findings from the data to then create output for the business
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme as elements match the subjects I used to enjoy at school such as maths/statistics. Being able to see outputs from your work and investigation into data have its affect on the business is also rewarding.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new coding skills on various languages. I have significantly developed my skills using Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI and the ability to present statistical information to various colleagues around the bank, building my communication skills and confidence dramatically. Along with learning new Mathematical/statistical concepts

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The Programme is well structured. It is made clear to my team that I need 20% Off the Job learning and they let me take the time for that when I need. Majority of the learning is given to you. Some you have to find on the job yourself.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

They give me suffiencent support. If I need help there is always someone avaliable. As mentioned before they give me sufficent time to complete apprenticeship work
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A good amount, they provide you with most of the resources, give you a learning mentor to keep you on track and ask any questions you may need answering.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Helps a fair bit as it broadens your range of thought such as applying particular statistical concept to your work which you wouldnt have considered before. However, Sometimes the coding langauges used in training is not used on the job but this also helps get a broader range of skills.

Yes, often a lot of volunteering and charity work. Also many networking events/initatives to get involved in all the time. Also some sports events too depending on your team and location, can affect if you can participate.

Good Company culture that provides good salary and many oppurunties, such as upskilling in different sectors around the bank.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
Know the role you are applying for through lots of research, and show genuine interest. Showing a general interest in the company, researching what they do in either work or culture wise.
