Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Learning the processes of the gas storage site, providing assistance with work where possible and gaining knowledge and experience of the role.
I tend to follow the site technicians performing isolations of equipment, equipment checks, and other jobs. I often perform other tasks for engineers that vary greatly; from writing procedures on how equipment works, to marking up P&IDs.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Its definitely helped develop social skills. Learning how to work with other people and get along in a small team. As well as develop key skills that aid with understanding site processes.
I’ve somewhat learned how to operate a computer system for the site that controls the operations of the site.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My role is fairly new in the sector i work in, so there hasn’t necessarily been a set programme for how i will develop. Although, learning how i have has been effective.

So far, i havent necessarily found anything ive learned at college to be transferrable other than excel skills. Some electrical knowledge aids the understanding of some aspects.
