Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
The day can be varied greatly, from helping out financial teams investigating root causes of financial disparities to dealing with issues related to databases, a lot of problem solving is involved as there role is very multi faceted!
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Quite a lot, it's very varied and you have the ability to go many different directions with it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Quite a few, from technical skills needed for the everyday role to professional skills aiding communication with a variety of different stakeholders, there are a lot of learning opportunities here.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
From the work side, it's very structured, you know your responsibilities and as you grow so does your role, the apprenticeship side of it is also fairly good
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
The team are very understanding people who offer help whenever needed, settling in has been a very smooth because of it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
As I'm still in the first year it's hard to judge given that the year has not been accounted for, although I would say that there are people who care within the training providers, it can be a bit unstructured at times making it difficult, however as this is fairly new for them aswell as us I'm sure it'll get better as time goes on
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I think the training content is very good for people who have yet to start their careers professionally, it gives an insight in the variety of different aspects of working in an organisation and the different functions that are required to run such.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
L'Oreal does provide a lot of networking events for NextGen staff as there is always something going on

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend L'Oreal to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Speaking from my own experience, I found it very easy to settle into the team, I also found it to be very structured which is something I was not expecting as usually you hear the opposite when it comes to apprenticeship roles.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to L'Oreal?
Be yourself, know your stuff and be determined to be the best
