Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Natwest places a big focus on your studies and this is the main focus of your employment. I am on a Cyber Security first response team and I have been completing smaller tasks so that my main focus stays on learning.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy it. This is made possible by having a wonderful manager who is very understanding and kind and having a fantastic team who are always willing to help out if I need it. I have met a lot of people I can learn from and have access to various learning resources.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Apart from the apprenticeship itself, Natwest provides various other resources for learning online and from other colleagues.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The apprenticeship provider QA has been a bit chaotic with the deadlines and short notices. However the material has been interesting and the tutors are very knowledgeable.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
A lot. As mentioned previously, Natwest places a lot of importance on the learning aspect of the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
There are a lot of support services they provide.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It's too early for me to say definitively. However, I feel that the wide curriculum which has been outlined will be very useful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, there are various activities you can take part in. There is even a option to use a few of your working days a year for volunteering.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
So far, I have had a great experience working for them. The company culture is very welcoming, colleagues are experienced and friendly, the environment to learn / work is the best I have experienced so far.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Be open and don't be afraid to voice your ideas. Make sure to be respectful and find out a bit about the company. There is a lot of information online about NatWest's values and initiatives.
