Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role is to monitor incoming Incidents for my department and respond appropriately, enact any scheduled decommissions and perform change management on IIS Web Servers
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Very much so, it is much better than my previous jobs, there is always room for a bit of improvement though

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I am gaining proficiency with Service now navigation and my awareness of various Windows Server operating systems as well as beginning my Powershell training.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Experience has been varied, personally I wish there was a bit more structure to the professional side and a lot more structure to the training provider side
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive some support but a lot of my colleagues are just not that approachable despite my line manager's best efforts
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Not as much as I would like, QA have been rather hands off with our duties and last minute with our deadlines. They are not offering much in the way of Guidance and leaving queries unanswered
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
It is too early to say right now, a lot of the work I will be doing is interwoven with a lot of Projects and other employees, the work is a bit complex and I have not covered suficient training to be able to assisst.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are many though my other obligations have kept me from participating in many of them

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There are many possibilities, there are many people to talk to, they have a very flexible approach to working and can accommodate your life events much better than most other employers do. Though I do not necessarily feel competent in my role yet I do feel very welcomed by the people who are here and slowly showing me the ropes
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Don't expect to hit the ground running, there is a lot to take in and there is NO expectation for you to begin running at everyone else's pace flawlessly. Work at YOUR pace and ensure that you keep talking to your team, management and training providers about what is and isn't working for you
