Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Managing engineering projects, including engineering work itself at the lower levels, liaising with different stakeholders in calls and meetings, going into practical environments to inspect work and conditions, going over documents such as risk assessments and standards and shadowing work with both managers and tradesman.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme very much, the college work is well paced and the work is interesting, being able to go around practical work areas as well as developing key engineering knowledge.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned much about nuclear reactor systems, through training courses, engineering discussions, and in practical environments. I have had hands-on experience with different engineering applications as well as professional skills and behaviours.

The programme is well structured with a clear hierarchy of support and an established apprenticeship plan and university modules.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Plenty of support provided by my employer.

My qualification is directly relevant to my job role, but there haven't been many times where it has actively helped my perform better in my current role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there is a apprenticeship programme where we do STEM sessions with local schools and groups, as well as other regular events that happen outside of work.
