Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Working with the business to understand their problems, sketching and prototyping solutions to resolve the problems, taking the solution through test and deployment in the business. Also creating training materials for tools, service design, product design, user experience design.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy the programme, the modules are interesting, though the delivery of modules can be dry at times. It is also not very well organised sometimes which has dampened my experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I started the job with very limited experience in my field and have learned most of what I know from the job. Skills include change management, stakeholder management, design, facilitation, strategic conversations, business analytics.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My job is very structured and my line manager is incredibly supportive and is genuinely interested in my development and progression. The training provider can be unorganised sometimes, but is mostly okay.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
So much support - they allow me to have one full study day per week to spend on my masters course - without that time I would struggle a lot. They also help me pick which modules to do based on their knowledge and my interests.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
An good amount of support, I meet with my skills coach every month of so who is very helpful. There are also lots of extra training content to help with academic writing etc.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Incredibly well, I would feel quite lost without the knowledge gained from my qualification. It is also very easy to apply my learnings quickly, and discuss them with my manager,
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, lots of networks you can join based on your interests, and there's plenty of sports teams to join if you are local to the office.
