Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Public Sector audit: Verifying the trueness and fairness of public sector (local government, NHS, public transport) financial statements.
This involves transaction testing on a daily basis, dealing with audit team and client contacts.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have really enjoyed it, the office is great and extremely supportive when it comes to exam times and everybody pushes you.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt how to communicate more effectively and lead a team thanks to the apprenticeship. Alongside developing study skills for exams.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
The early careers team and BPP (training provider) can be quite unorganised with sending invites and organising training courses. I was often sent to Leeds for long courses instead of my local newcastle centre
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
The newcastle office offer great support - company wide I feel as though there could be more
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Minimal - taught phase, and then revision phase with very little guidance in between
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Massively - it is very job specific and helps with all areas of audit.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
None
