As a Data scientist, I analyse and generate high quality interim images for client reports at different stages of the study. This process is followed by the production of a summary report and an IND (Investigational New Drug) enabling final report.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've gained knowledge in drug discovery, target analysis, and continuous improvement projects. I also enhanced my computational skills, I automate tasks using Excel or R to enhance efficiency. Additionally, I prepare regular reports, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Before the beginning of the course there was no clear description of the course and what pre-requisites are needed for each module, this meant that I had to a lot of individual learning and research to be able to complete most of the assignments.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

To accommodate the lack of commutation from the university, The HR department involved in the apprentice side started having more communications with the university.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The professors reply to emails within 24 to 48 hrs. Nevertheless. due to lack of foundation sometimes I require more support than the lectures are allowed to provide to me during the assignment.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Thanks for the skills that I gained I was able to be involved in different bioinformatic processes and at the moment I am developing a new system based on my idea.

Why?
I believe that if you are at the begging of your career CFL is a really good place to develop and grow. nevertheless, I do believe as well at it can be challenging to progress into a higher position.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Charles River?
To be very outspoken in terms of what are your career interests and skills that you would like to develop.
