Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am now responsible for the whole of of the emergency service network operationally.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I massively enjoyed my apprenticeship programme. It set me up to achieve the role I'm in now with a huge amount of learning, support and guidance along the way.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed a huge variety of skills through-out my apprenticeship- most notably confidence, problem solving, people management and business strategy.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme was well structured and balanced with a split of 80% work, 20% study & once every 3 months a week in Staffordshire University for new module launches.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My line manager has been incredible through-out the whole 4.5 years my course lasted. No ask was ever too big, and he always had time to sit down and chat. I couldn't have done it without him.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I had access to my training provider Mon-Fri 9-5 most weeks minus some scheduled holidays.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think my qualification has set me up to achieve things I never thought possible at only 23 years old. Without the training, guidance and confidence building - I never would've applied for this high pressure role and succeeded.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Sports Events, Chairy Events, Culture Clubs, Social Events etc.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BT Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Being only 24 years old, I've just started my 6th year with BT (25% of my whole life) and I have no plans to go anywhere. They've treated me beyond my expectations, driven me to success and supported my health and wellbeing along the way.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT Group?
Take the plunge and go for it. It's well worth it.
