It varies day to day and month to month as we move placements every 6 months.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It depends on which placement you're in because your manager, team and workload have a huge impact on how much you enjoy the programme. However, I can say, TfL have a great attitude towards apprentices and it was something I was pleasantly surprised by.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

The list is endless, I've changed so much over the past three years through work experience and university.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised. You rotate through the company every 6 months and can get experience in any area that you're interested in.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A huge amount of support! I could name at least 10 different people that I could go to with any problem and they would support me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A great deal of support. I've relied on the help of my training provider hugely with not only my degree but also mental health and I can't thank her enough.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Having a degree will be a great stepping stone for my career so it will continue to help. However, I have learnt much more from my work experience than my degree alone which is why I chose an apprenticeship rather than going to university.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Since TfL is a company of 25,000+ you can literally think of any activity and they will most likely have it. Examples of the larger networking groups are the women's group, LGBTQ+ group, environmental group etc.

Would you recommend Transport for London to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Once I have finished this programme I will be years ahead, in terms of experience, of my peers and will come out with a degree with no debt - all while living in the capital city.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Transport for London?
Put in a lot of preparation for the interview process as it is competitive.
