I completed my placement performing the role of an associate. Day to day tasks involved liaising with the client, and requesting documentation. In addition, I performed testing over balances to gain comfort over them.
To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

I enjoyed my time on placement thoroughly. I built good relationships with my peers, so when I am back on my next placement I will know people already. Additionally, I enjoyed the work I was performing.
How well organised was your work experience?

The work experience was well organised. It falls in busy season of the firm, so therefore there was lots of work opportunities for us, and different experiences for us to be involved in.
How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

My work experience has allowed me to experience working in audit, which I have enjoyed. It has given me vast experiences of different size clients which has gave me a good taste of different audits.

What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

My digital skills have improved massively through my time on placement. This is specifically evident in my use of excel, where I have learned new functions and shortcuts for completing work more efficiently. I have developed my audit knowledge through my time here.

PwC has a strong company culture. This is evident in the core values they encourage all staff to demonstrate.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

There have been regular social events, as well as debriefs after we finish an audit. These have gave good opportunities to engage with other employees outside a purely work environment
