Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Every morning meet with team to discuss what we are all doing, Then starting work with the software and typing up documents the whole day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoyed it due to the people which you meet and get to communicate with.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed better communication skills and multi tasking skills as this is what the job required.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Fairly well. For the first couple of weeks it is very rocky as they did not know are were going to arrive on the given day. Then there are periods of time where resourcing is hard to reach so you have no work to do and you can not add this to your ICAEW hours.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I would say the support has been good as there is always someone who I had to go to if something did go wrong.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
We are given a career coach and a flying start buddy as we do hey a good amount of support through out.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
Not so much as there was not enough practical training and the pass rate for the examination is far too high. So most of the training was on the job which can lead to mistakes on the actual job instead of training exercises.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
I was based in London while most of my time where based in Bradford so I was not able to get involved in many social events or activities.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think it is a good company if accountancy is what you are looking to do in future and not much else as from what i was told the change of job role takes a while.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Be honest and ask for help if need be they are very helpful about things.
