Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My day to day role involves shadowing people on my team. I am based in the marine team, where I produce evidence of covers, cover note addendums for brokers. I also attend weekly meetings.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it thoroughly although you should remember that this is a job unlike university. You get only 25 days per year for annual leave compared to 25 weeks of holidays at University.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have adapted in various skills such as communication, but I also have learnt new skills for example, social/networking skills. I learnt a lot about the online systems used, and the processes of how to do things.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programe is very structured; at first however, the learning provider was quite difficult to deal with, but now, I have completed my exams on time and am having my tasks on Aptem marked on time. The exams work well with your day to day role as everything you learn is then applied to your work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support both at work and outside of work. My manager and team are extremely welcoming, friendly and warm to work with. Everyone is supportive and they love to see you achieve and succeed, everyone helps one another work towards succeeding and achieving goals such as exams, charities, etc.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support, from quarterly progress reviews to substantial amounts of feedback to every task submitted. I also get very detailed emails when questions are asked, and they do a lot of support with your qualifications, for example, I attend a lot of revision sessions made catered to the module/exam you are taking.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Without my qualification I would not have understood or learnt the things that I did when it comes to insurance and reinsurance as before starting this course I had no idea about a lot of the things which this career path is about. The exams start from basic beginner levels (foundation) and progress into harder exams with content going into more depth, and then finally into the diploma.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

You can get inviolved in many fairs, and networking events, such as hosting fairs in sixth form colleges.
