Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
1/5
I have been put into a role by my team which wasn't what I initially signed up for and am handed the same tasks to do over and over again and have only just recently received training for most of my this.
Sometimes I am given work by my team which they don't even know how to do themselves and expect me to speak to other people / figure it out myself.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
1/5
So far I have not enjoyed it at all, which is sad as other apprentices in other teams seem to be having a much better experience than me.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
1/5
I have only recently received training on how to competently carry out my day to day task and even now I am still struggling with a lot of it.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
I am now several exams behind where I should be due to there not been any real structure within my team and my line manager telling me to post-pone them
How much support do you receive from your employer?
1/5
I don't really feel supported at all by my line manager and have expressed this to him multiple times, and he says he is going to change / try to make it more exciting for me but never does anything about it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I feel Davies and my current coach have been very supportive overall and the training that they provide is engaging.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
Although I really enjoy the training that I am been provided this unfortunately isn't relevant to the role that my team have put me into as a technician. Hopefully if I am able to switch teams it should be useful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
No and I have not been made aware of all the extra-curricular clubs and activities which are available. Which is disappointing as during my induction week it really seemed like they were keen to promote and for us to sign up to all of the clubs.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Aon to a friend?
No
Why?
From my experience I have not enjoyed the experience at all so far, which is very disappointing as some of the other apprentices seem to be really enjoying it. I often go home incredibly upset and feel stressed out
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aon?
ensure that you go into a team, which is the same as the role that you apply for.
