Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves managing the relation between Softcat and our vendors - I help with sales training and enablement to push the sales of the vendors I manage, and I support our salesforce with getting quotes and pushing their deals through. My day-to-day tasks mostly involve helping our salesforce with any queries they have, and helping our vendors sync with our sales force.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt how to use different software's that I didn't have much experience with. I've also learnt how to lead meetings (sometimes to >100 people) and how to deliver training. I've learnt what a VAR is and how Softcat is the leading one!
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well structured - we have a day dedicated to our apprenticeship work and the rest of the week is on the job training. I have Fridays dedicated to my apprenticeship work so I'm not expected to answer emails etc and can focus properly on my work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have loads of support from Softcat - I have weekly catch-ups with my manager to make sure I'm doing okay with the workload, and there's always people from my team in the office that I can lean on for support. The learning and development team are always there to support too.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My service provider (corndell) offer loads of support. We have fortnightly calls to go over the different modules we cover, and we also have monthly catch-ups to discuss how we're getting on. More support i available if you need it too!
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The work we learn in our qualification is really relevant to my role - we learn skills like excel and word which I use every day, and also soft skills like active listening which are also really useful. We also learn how to present, how to lead projects so it all applies to my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are always activities at Softcat - every quarter we have end of quarter drinks to celebrate the end of the financial quarter, as well as Christmas parties. We also have a massive event at the start of our financial year called 'Kick Off' where the whole company is invited to conferences, a meal and a party.
