The ILAC Team are responsible for all Import and Export-related activity, building and maintaining relationships internally and externally with key partners. Driving the Softcat Sustainability mission, servicing sales, and complying with all HMRC rules and regulations. We work with our partners to offer successful end delivery to our customers. We have a robust network of freight forwarders who help us to fulfil our duties. We are always happy to jump on calls with customers and sales teams to share our knowledge and expertise.
As an International Logistics team, we arrange delivery of our shipments around the world. This comes with managing the different and complex daily challenges that the world of shipping and logistics presents to us while also ensuring we comply with all HMRC rules in everything we do.
We are one of the few teams that touch base with most of the different departments in the business, such as Sales, CS, Finance, Sourcing, Tax, and Legal. We also have a range of external partners and providers with whom we work closely alongside, offering us the ability to export to different locations using a robust network of couriers and freight forwarders.

It has given me a much wider knowledge of how businesses are run. As someone who has not come from a business background, it has been so valuable learning the fundamentals of business and gaining knowledge surrounding how i benefit a business.
