Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

An average day involves attending a quick briefing about the work I need to complete such as helping to prepare tax returns or tax computations. There are also regular team meetings or training sessions for me to attend.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my apprenticeship, it's very challenging but also rewarding! The exams are difficult and you are given a lot of responsibility early on. There are lots of travel opportunities to visit PwC's other offices!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've developed many new skills such as my ability to network with different people within the office. I have also learnt a lot about tax and been able to complete an array of more complex work.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured and there is a good balance between studying for your exams but also client work within the office.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is lots of support available, we are given talent coaches that help us learn and develop. Many people within the office are incredibly helpful and answer my queries that I may have they're also good at explaining things whenever I'm struggling to understand.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Our training provider is very supportive as we can ask questions online at anytime which are quickly answered. Our resources are thorough and clear.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Lots of things that I've learnt from my professional qualification I can apply to my job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of extra- curricular activities such as sports networks e.g netball training sessions which are free. There are also lots of volunteering opportunities such as volunteering at a homeless shelter, PwC pays for the food and we can help deliver it to the homeless.

PwC is a great place to learn and develop, you're constantly being pushed to develop and improve however, there is lots of support available.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Think about what unique qualities you may have that somebody else may not have, that will help to set you aside from others. Always look to improve and develop and just be authentically you!
