Day to day as a Fabrication Design Draughtsperson, I’m either in the workshop with the Fabricators learning and experiencing first hand skill or learning CAD on the computer on wednesdays or writing up my project on Mondays with BTEC
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Mondays are not the best with BTEC, but it’s not that bad when the teachers explain correctly what we do (not all the time, even when i ask). Every other day is fine. On the all, everything is slow, but it’s picking up its speed and i enjoy it
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I’ve learnt about many tools and machines in the fabrication workshop. Correct training has been provided and asking for help is easy with my instructor.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

First apprentice for my course in 10 years. Structure is not there and needs to be organised better.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Support wise is good and very easy to ask for help. If emailing it’s slow and won’t get a responce straight away
