Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an account manager I work with several clients crating contracts and endorsements, whilst also using internal systems to set up premiums and input signings.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed learning about this new dynamic industry with so many different paths and directions that I could go down.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots about the insurance markets and the different types of insurances that is available. I have also learnt the roles of all the different jobs e.g brokers, underwriters and actuaries.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

From my training provider I have a set learning plan which gives me deadlines and this helps me plan ahead and make sure I get all of the relevant work completed in time. I also have a coach which is always there if I need any help or have any questions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employers ensures that I have time for my apprentice work and always helps with any queries I may have around the content as many of them have completed the same exams so are able to help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

There is lots of support and I have a few different points of contact if I never needed help or guidance and they offer one to one sessions if you are struggling with a certain topic or concept.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Within my qualification I learn a lot about the insurance market and the role of brokers and underwriters which is very relevant to my role as a broker and it has helped me gain a further insight into the rules and responsibilities following this role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am part of a Next gen community where they arrange events such as meeting other apprentices in the industry from other companies.
