Every project you're on is different! I have worked in product design, where I designed online platforms, I have also developed commercial models and I have had client engagements too, where I helped to build out deliverables! No project is ever the same and you can tailor it to your prefernces.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have loved working at PwC, the people are amazing and the variation in projects is fantastic so I have been able to work on project's that I'm particularly interested in, which have been health projects. My co-workers have always been respectful and aware of my apprenticeship commitments. However, the apprenticeship side of the programme has not been as enjoyable, but PwC have made us feel as comfortable as they could have done given the turbulent environment which we were having to work in.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt so many new skills, including lots of technical and consulting specific skills, such as Excel, design softwares, commercial cost model development and stakeholder engagement. However, I have also learnt lots of soft skills that will be transferable to all aspects of my life, including people skills and time management, which is crucial when working full time whilst completing the apprenticeship.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme has been well structured, allowing the apprentices to know exactly what was happening at each stage of the apprenticeship. We knew what our roles at work were going to look like, in terms of time frame, from the start and we knew when our exams and portfolio were due in by. The apprenticeship provider changed a lot of the dates due to a variety of reasons, but overall the programme was structured well and offered many opportunities to develop and learn.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received lots of support from PwC throughout the apprenticeship, as they have provided me with a buddy, a career coach and a professional qualifications team, who I can ask any questions too. PwC also have a very people centered culture, therefore almost every colleague who I have worked with has offered me support and development when needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have received good support from my training provider, they have given us a talent coach, mine was fantastic. They have also provided us with a team of workers, however I haven't had as good of an experience with that side of the company as I have done with my talent coach. They also provided us tutors for our exams.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has provided me with the knowledge that I needed to develop within consulting at PwC, and gave me basic skills that I could develop upon myself. The amount of work that I had to balance alongside my project work also taught me time management skills. Overall, the qualification did assist me to grow however I think I could have learnt the same without the knowledge from the qualification.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes! There are so many activities you can be involved in, including sports teams, wellbeing teams and social activities after work. There are many groups you can join, including a reading group, movie club or climbing. There are also summer and winter socials that you can attend. PwC does a great job at actively involving everyone.

Why?
PwC is an inclusive, positive, empowering place to have a career where there are opportunities to work in whatever area you are most interested in. There are also opportunities to second to another area of the business or to a different country if you feel like you need a change. PwC cares about their employees and makes that very clear.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Be yourself and don't stress about knowing technical knowledge, they don't expect you to know anything technical! I would suggest researching PwC as a company and the ways of working there as this is more important to know before applying to the job.
