Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

An overview of my role is that I am within Inside Sales. Some of the day to day activities are processing orders for our customers, looking at order reports, finding Estimated Delivery Dates and Proof of deliveries for our customers. As well as this we need to liaise with internal and external teams.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my communication and interpersonal skills being at Computacenter and talking to new people everyday. I have also improved time management and being more organised in the way I work.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is structured well with you having one day for your studies and four days working on the job a week. There are a lot to learn on the job, however the company are good at organising training on areas we need to learn, know and develop.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

From my employer I receive a lot of support for a variety of different reasons.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

From my training provider, I receive a lot of support when working towards my qualifications with all my task sheets marked and with good constructive feedback. As well as this I have been given support when working towards my qualifications with my skills coach who is always happy to book in a meeting to go over anything that you may be struggling on.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that the qualification has so far enabled me to perform better in my role and I feel that I am communicating better but also what I have learnt from the task sheets have helped understanding the other areas in the business that contribute to my role.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are professional networking events which are great if you get invited to them and a brilliant place to network with others.
