Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Mainly consisting of admin duties, meeting minutes, filing and chasing. Also go out to site, attend meetings filling out documents.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy the programme, some weeks I can have little work which is a tad frustrating but I am still learning through the things I am doing I think personally I would've liked to have progressed a bit more than I feel I have

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I've learnt about law in the built environment and people management through uni, In my current role I have learnt organisation and people skills as well as learning about the project life cycle, why progress reviews take place, the importance of reporting, ways to reduce costing, timescales etc

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Really well structured, I like how the training sessions are regular rather than for like 1 full week a year. Uni fits into my week nicely and the workload has been manageable so far.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
As much support as I need. Very accommodating and understand that it's not an easy course to be undertaking. They were amazing when I had a bit of a wobble earlier in the year
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Really good support, get individual feedback as well as cohort feedback, have a wellbeing team and mitigating circumstances etc.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It definitely benefits as I move forward we hear more technical terms and I look back and now understand some conversations more than I did at the time of having them
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, monthly socials plus other things like walks for wellbeing, panels on teams, award ceremony's etc

Yes
Why?
The company is forward thinking, inclusive and supportive - there are hierarchy's as there is in all companies but the lines don't exist as forcefully as in other companies, we are encouraged to get in contact with those higher in the company and to grow our network as much as possible
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mace?
Go for it, be yourself and have confidence in your own ability
