Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My day to day role is fix faulted cables to get customer's back onto supply, using specific procedures that are carried out to standard and are done safely.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy being out in the field working with the teams as I'm in a new environment everyday with a new problem to solve and I enjoy the banter amongst colleagues .

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt lots of new skills like joining cables and how the network works and built on my team working skills and taking personal responsibility to solve problems.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think it has be well organised as I've gotten a taster of all the different aspects of the course and there is enough time given to complete set tasks.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel well supported as I feel I can ask anything and they do what the can in there power to satisfy my problems.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I felt that I have received great training as I feel confident in my work that I'm doing so that I am safe.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It gives me a better scope of knowledge so that I can have a better understanding of why I am doing the job that I am.

Why?
As it is a company that cares and invests in there employees to succeed in there roles. There are also great opportunities to progress and earn a decent living.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to SSE?
I recommend asking lots of questions and getting involved in each aspect of the course as its a huge benefit to you completing the course, which will lead to other people wanting to help you achieve your goals.
