Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Driving up engagement with the Wealth customers of HSBC. Ranges from Marketing, to Communications, and support for projects, launches and initiatives.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very much. My tutor and faculty head were positive, supportive and practical, the lecturers were excellent, and the structure of the course was geared to people working collaboratively. I've developed new networks inside and outside the bank.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, updated existing Marketing knowledge, learnt more about regulations, and developed new skills in financial management, economics, and project management.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very good. The lectures are recorded, and the slides are available to refer back to. There are clear dates on everything, and regular sessions with tutors to ensure you remain on track, with plenty of pastoral support during challenging times.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

HSBC is a great employer, support has been excellent from start to finish. Managers have been supportive and have been great at recognising achievements.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

100% support is there when needed. Cranfield have been amazing, have recommended them to everyone in my network.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It shows people I am able to learn new things, and am keen to keep developing. It's already got me recognition, and an interview for a promotion. The materials are still there for me to refer to so I can keep refreshing my knowledge.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are many clubs, and social activities. There are employee groups which offer support to different need groups. There are many networking opportunities, and specific employee groups to support those who may be disadvantaged by gender or minority standing. A truly inclusive employer.

Yes

Why?

Opportunities on a global scale, variety of work, nice people, big organisation, and good benefits. The apprenticeship programme is a very big plus, and gave me a chance to get a Masters.
