Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work closely linked to projects, helping them progress this can involve regular contact with the client, responding to emails, being involved in meeting and drafting contracts. I also work very closely to my team having regular catch ups with my colleagues and my line manager
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
My university course is construction management, which includes lots of different modules including law, management, economics, digital technology and construction site management. I find it more enjoyable that I know there's a variety of information in each module.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a variety of new skills including communication skills, excel and scheduling/time management. I have also improved my skills in presentation, confidence and coordination.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well structured, at the start of our apprenticeship we were given all of our modules at university and the first years worth of training dates, which enabled us to book annual leave around these.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have weekly catch ups with my line manager in which I feel comfortable to bring up any concerns or problems I may be facing in both my professional and personal life. The culture of supporting your colleagues and your team is also very prevalent.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
There's a variety of support to receive from 1-1's with lecturers or having an academic support tutor, everyone also has an AOO (Apprenticeship Outcomes Officer) who you meet with quarterly to check on your progression throughout the degree and to highlight any areas that may need more work
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualifications and work are extremely interlinked, for example we learnt about the different types of contract at university and I deal with different construction contracts frequently.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I have been to multiple professional networking events, including a construction ball. There is a football team and we often have well being walks spread through out the month!
