Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
As an apprentice, I spend my time throughout different technical departments. This means that my role is changing with each department. On a day-to-day basis, I am learning from my mentor in each department to become as competent as I can be before I switch rotations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my program because I look forward to learning something new each day, which will help me in the future when I decide what kind of role id like to work at the end of this apprenticeship.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Since starting here, I have learned how to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team. I have also developed my computer skills using specific software's that are required for each rotation I am in.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I think my program is well organized as we have weekly apprentice meetings where we can discuss topics with one another. Also, college lessons are well organized with what unit we need to do and when to do them by.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
Support if available to me if i am to need it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
If I need any support from New College Durham about my qualifications, I should be able to receive it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The topics we have covered so far in college don't help me perform better in my role aside from being more aware of health and safety hazards in the workplace, and performing operations on CAD software.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
At work, we are given the opportunity to partake in EEEC activates, which are volunteering activities to help the community.
