Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work alongside HR specialist completing tasks to employees throughout the stretch of their employee life cycle. This means helping with everything from onboarding, probation, promotions to terminations. I have received a lot of support from my team members and have been given very steady and supportive training on new aspects of the job, with many opportunities for growth and development.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the opportunity to earn while I learn. It gives me the opportunity to immediately apply what I have learned and to understand how the theoretical knowledge of what I learn in class regarding CIPD and UK employment legislation, relates to the reality of working in HR.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned many administrative skills, and time management skills. Both are essential in HR as you are expected to complete all employee requests in a timely manner and all records must be filed in a secure fashion.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I would appreciate a better overview of what to expect in an apprenticeship, as much of the information I received about the programme were through deliberate questioning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a lot of support from my Team Leaders, mangers and colleagues. There is a bit of a disconnect regarding who to contact regarding which issues but this is a small issue compared to the overwhelming support received.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The training provider gives support, but does not give information about the course in a accessible fashion. Much of the information is in places you could only find if you are pointed in that direction, therefore not allowing for much independence or confidence in learning.
The training provider has an internal system with an unfriendly user-interface.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The CIPD qualification provides me with a lot of the foundational knowledge needed to complete my role. It has been very valuable and has helped me perform my role better.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
No
