Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My day to day role includes dealing with admin work that comes in from the relationship managers portfolio. I am the main point of contact via call or email for these customers whilst the relationship manager goes to see their customers on meetings. I have a set number of customer interactions to complete every month, shared with the relationship manager, i complete these by doing fraud calls, customer health checks and facilities check.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme and the skills i am learning to develop. I am happy with the qualification i will recieve upon completing my apprenticeship. However i think BPP needs to be more structured with the lessons

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since joining NatWest my confidence has increased immensely, i never thought i would be able to attend events such as career fairs etc, but i am now able to confidently attend and complete face to face customer interactions aswell, with the support from my manager.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Not great, sometimes the lessons are cancelled last minute, the zoom numbers arent sent out timely, and the website always crashes.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer supports me completely, they allow me to set time aside and block out my diary to complete apprenticeship studies. My line manager attends my regular check ins with my coach to ensure i am on track, and help me reach any goals that i have been set. My employers also set up regular training sessions that tie into the apprenticeship to ensure my knowledge is up to date,
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel like the chartered banker exam has helped me immensely within my role. I can use this to understand more about the customers business and when understanding the products and facilities we offer as a bank.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I attend regular career fairs, product partner meetings, as a team we complete voluntary work ( litter picking, feeding the homeless) , charity fundraising events and networking events.

Working in NatWest, it is very inclusive and diverse, It is a place where i feel like i can speak up and there is no hierarchy. Since working at Natwest, my confidence alongside other skills has increased so much. My values align with the values at NatWest which is also why i think this company is a great place to work
